I had to swap out a couple of corrupt driver files in the disk set. This little tidbit I found in a chat room reading back a few years. ![]() I did find and make a six disk set of start up diskettes that you could only start if you hammered the F6 key at the right time or the machine wouldn't see the HD. ![]() but could not get any of the choices to work because of the missing/corrupt isapnp.sys file. IS there a generic one available for download to CD or floppy that I can use at the boot that will intercept the system and force a return to the last known working config, or some place where you can gain control of the recovery process and move it forward from there? I do not have a boot disk or automatic recovery floppy disk. So I guess I need something that can insert itself into the moment between setup loading and setup not seeing the HD. Now it was loading everything from the HD as you could hear it spinning and doing it's start stop routine. I can get to the load from CD set to #1 position with floppy as #2, however, after it loads all the files for setup and you get to the install, repair and fuggedaboutit screen (F3) no matter what you do hit enter or 'r', it goes straight to 'Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer. txt disks but I can't get in before it closes me out. ![]() The link from Roguepacket looked like a very good one and I made up the.
